Caphin is the first commercially available, ready-to-drink bottled Vietnamese iced coffee. All of our bottles are made in small batches by our team. Our carefully chosen beans are roasted fresh locally, and ground the day of production. Vietnamese iced coffee is made with a metal filter, called a "phin", in which strong coffee is drip filtered into condensed milk. We've found a way to replicate that process in small batches, and bottle it for you. Shake well, pour over ice, and enjoy!
Our original flavor, Artisan, only has two ingredients: our coffee and sweetened condensed milk. We spent a lot of time crafting that perfect combination of roasted beans to get the flavor profile you taste with artisan—creamy, dark, with hints of chocolate. Then, at the end of the swig, you get a rush of caffeine that you would expect from café sua da: often times leaving you wide-eyed and full of energy.
When Vietnamese immigrants brought cafe sua da to the Gulf Coast, they made one minor change -- they added chicory root. So now, "traditional" Vietnamese iced coffee in the United States is made with chicory. With Caphin Traditional, we've bottled that tradition. Traditional has all of the same kick and sweetness of Artisan, only with the additional woody notes of chicory root.
Sometimes, nothing but straight black coffee will do. For those late creative nights, or hard-charging mornings, we present to you, the powerful Caphin Black. All of our other coffee is brewed hot, however Caphin Black is cold-brewed for 24 hours in order to extract the optimum caffeine content and flavor from our beans. Low acidity and a clean finish makes Caphin Black the perfect cold-brewed coffee.
